In the Pacific Northwest where it rains eight months of the year, moss grows on the roofs of houses in shaded areas. We used to clean our roof ourselves. But we decided we're too old, so we hired a company to do the job. Here's a "before" photo they took on a sunny day in mid-winter. Wish I had an "after" photo to show the improvement. In winter, especially at sunset, light reflects off the windows and the church behind our house viewed through the wooded area looks almost like a Thomas Kincaid painting. The cell tower would be near the third tree on the left, about 140 feet from the back wall of our house. In summer, when all of the leaves are out, the church and the cell tower might be screened from view.
We'll learn in mid-May the decision. Meanwhile, we're repairing winter damage to our yard. The photo above shows what spring right now--a mole has been tunneling. We hope that's all the tunneling that will be going on in our neighborhood, because cell tower plans show a 200-foot conduit to the street on a narrow strip of land behind our property line, and we don't want that tunnel to be built!
